It’s been a while since I’ve done a post about my weight… mainly because I have platuaed with it an after losing 23lbs in almost 3 years… I am now simply maintaining my weight.
In fact it’s remained really steady over the last 3-4 months or so… nice and settled at around 124lbs.
(After losing almost a stone or so since June last year – I’m afraid to say without actively trying – sorry!)
The graph below is from a handy little iphone app I have: Tactio Target Weight app
I keep my vitals recorded in a spreadsheet and they eventually get updated to the Health page of this blog.
How did I lose the weight?
I’m really active. I train 5-6 days a week, 7-10 hours a week. I run, swim, bike, spin, walk and do circuit classes as well as an Insanity DVD workout I’ve recently got into.
I walk to work and take the stairs whenever the opportunity arises. I also teach swimming for 4 hours a week, 40 weeks a year – standing on the poolside, walking up and down and showign kids and adults how to swim.
I try to eat healthily: a lot of varied food, including the odd mars bar, chip supper and chinese takeaway. I eat little, often and try to include fruit and veg where I can. I also drink lots of water and avoid fizzy juice and coffee.
I now seem to have got the balance of eating and exercising just right where I’m not losing weight anymore and not putting any on. Yey!
I’m at my ideal training weight and I feel the best I have done in years.
I’ve lost inches - I’ve had to buy new clothes and underwear, but I know I’m feeling great and I’m in the best shape of my life!
If I want to reach my ideal ‘Racing Weight‘ (120lbs)… I still have a bit to go (-4lbs) but I’m more than comfortable with how I am at the moment with no plans of aiming for 120 at the moment.
