Following on from my Barrathon Half Marathon Training Plan, I’ve also done a pace calculator which works out mile splits for you once you enter your target time.
It takes into consideration where the hills are and intends that you run slightly slower over the first half of the race (negative split), so that you have plenty left in the tank for finishing stongly (and climbing that big hill at 11.5 miles in).
To find out your pace splits, enter your target time in this Excel document: Barrathon Pace Calculator
Then all you need to do is print it out and refer to it if you need to on race day.
